In Wales…

  • Over 10,000 young people develop their skills with us every year.
  • 86% of local authority areas deliver Leadership Skills Foundation programmes.
  • 100,000 hours of leadership development and learning were delivered in the last year.

Our programme offer in Wales includes trusted qualifications that are regulated by Qualifications Wales. We ensure that our programmes are designed to meet Curriculum for Wales standards, including providing Welsh-language learning opportunities.

We work closely with Sport Wales and have developed programmes in partnership with Welsh governing bodies and local authorities to provide as many opportunities as possible for leadership skills development.

The award has had a massive impact on the children’s teamwork skills. It provides opportunities for them to be creative and figure things out for themselves. They learn that you can try something and it’s okay to fail. They learn how to be resilient and overcome challenges. It’s a great introduction to leadership.

We aim to support as many learners as possible, and welcome enquiries on how centres can give access to everyone, including learners with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
All of our programmes can be delivered in a range of environments, and requirements for evidence of learning and assessments can be adapted to meet the needs of your learners.
