Ensuring that learners are protecting their mental health is vitally important in the world of esports, especially with young people studying remotely for periods of time.
To support educators with their work to ensure young peopleās mental health is the best it can be, our partners British Esports have developed the Duty to Care programme in collaboration with NSPCC and UNICEF UK.
Duty to Care in Esports is a free, certified learning programme aimed at safeguardingĀ young people in esports environments. It emphasises positive coaching and highlights the ethical responsibilities of everyone involved in the esports ecosystem.
Areas covered by the programme include understanding and supporting child rights, promoting online safety and enhancing equality, diversity and inclusion.
The programme has been designed for programme, leaders, teachers, parents and coaches, and anyone working with young people in esports. On completion of Duty to Care in Esports, participants will receive a digital British Esports certificate via email.
