Resource updates for 2024/25 delivery

Who is this for: all centres

We have performed our annual update of resources for 2024/25 and have some minor changes to make you aware of.

The key action for centre managers is to ensure all members of your delivery team have the correct document for courses that start from 1 August 2024.

Please make sure you login to Centre Hub, download the most up-to-date version of all delivery resources and familiarise yourself with the document before starting your course delivery.

To access the latest versions of resources, both on Centre Hub and leadershipskillsfoundation.org, you may need to refresh your web browser.

Changes to learner evidence records (LERs)

Qualifications affected: all levels of sports leadership and dance leadership

In response to feedback from centres and learners, we have made a few small changes to our sport and dance LERs to make them even more learner friendly.

We have reconfigured some task worksheets and added some extra guidance where the feedback suggested it was would be helpful. One note of particular importance is that the LERs for both the level 3 and SCQF level 6 in sports leadership have had a bit of a refresh.

And, as always, we welcome any comments or feedback – good or bad – to help us continue to create useful, simple to use documentation for the future.

Updated internal verification records for 2024/25

Qualifications affected: all qualifications

As is usually the case, all internal verification records have been republished to change the focus of the internal verification for 2024/25. We do this so that all parts of the qualification are internally verified over a three-year period, so the internal verifier will focus on a different part of the qualification from one year to the next.

New units (and the tasks within them) have been selected for internal verification for each qualification for courses starting from 1 August 2024.

Internal assessment records templates provided for 2024/25

Qualifications affected: all qualifications except professional learning qualifications

For centres that do not have their own assessment tracking document, we now provide a template internal assessment record for your tutor to use to track the assessment of your group(s) of learners. You can still use your own tracking document if you prefer, and there is no need to duplicate any document you have as long as it achieves the criteria below.

When completing an internal assessment record (our template or your own), the tutor must:

  • list all registered learners (i.e. all learners that were registered on the course at the start) on the form, not just those that are part of the internal verification activity or those learners/delegates who completed the course;
  • track the assessment progress for all learners recording the date that the assessment decision was made for each part of their learner evidence record (LER);
  • mark any learners that have not passed with an ‘X’;
  • ensure that certificates claimed through Centre Hub match the learners tracked.

Centre guidance and support documents have a new home on the website

Learner engagement toolkit available

We have created free tools and documents you to use to engage learners in developing the essential leadership skills that they need to believe, lead and succeed. These are resources that are additional to those provided in the delivery resources for a specific qualification

You can access the toolkit here.

Once downloaded, you can use them to support the delivery of your course, as part of activities you lead for learner recruitment, or simply to display around your centre to raise awareness of the leadership programme you are delivering.
