At the Leadership Skills Foundation, we are passionate about developing essential leadership skills. We know our learners need these skills to help them develop long into the future.
By joining the Skills Builder partnership, we have become part of a group of global organisations that have agreed on a common universal framework of skills that are recognised by employers.
Aligning with the Universal Framework
The landscape of skills is a busy one, which is why we believe it is so important to align our work to the universal framework, giving greater clarity to our learners and centres as well as prospective employers.
Throughout each of our programmes our centres and their learners will be supported to see how the leadership skills they gain, map to the universal framework, giving learners extra recognition for the work they do.
Leadership skills help young people to make an impact – by developing them through our programmes, learners grow their confidence from putting their skills into practice in real-life leadership opportunities.
The role of leadership skills in supporting young people’s development
The Skills Model places the learner at its centre, recognising that they themselves can take control of their change and growth, and our programmes are the catalyst. It guides our work and visualises the role of leadership skills in supporting young people to develop the tools they need to face life’s challenges, to the benefit of themselves and the world around them, now and in the future.
