When it comes to the environment and the natural world, the younger generation are our inspiration. They care, they petition, they volunteer. Together, they call for a greater focus on the planet and the future.
So when it comes to equipping them with the tools they will need to create positive change for themselves and the world around them, we wanted to step up. Alongside our partners, WWF and the RSPB, we created the Environment Leaders Programme. Underpinning this is the Level 2 Qualification in Leadership Skills and the Level 3 Qualification in Leading a Project for Positive Change.
With the successful pilot of the Level 3 qualification in early 2024, we are now offering funded places to pilot our Level 2 qualification with us and our partners. The pilot will kickstart in January 2025 and run until June 2025, giving our selected centres time to deliver the qualification to a cohort of their learners.
The purpose of the Level 2 qualification is to support students to build essential leadership skills through leading purposeful activities that engage others within their organisation and have a positive effect on the environment and the natural world.
