Esports Leadership

Our Esports Leadership Programme taps into this rapidly growing subject area and offers recognised qualifications to learners whose passions go beyond the traditional curriculum.

Level 1 and 2 qualifications now available.

Young people dedicated to esports are already developing skills they will use in the future. They are experienced in building digital communities and solving complex problems, often under pressure.

With Esports Leadership, we have the unique opportunity to support learners to build on these abilities and develop essential leadership skills, and to celebrate those efforts with recognised qualifications.

Working together over a period of 12 months, the Leadership Skills Foundation and the British Esports Federation have developed the Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications geared towards developing essential and transferable skills in young people. These specialised qualifications integrate with a suite of BTEC Esports courses and aim to assist schools and colleges in implementing dedicated esports learning pathways for their students.

Much like our sports leadership pathway, learners currently enrolled in BTEC programmes will have the opportunity to explore the applicability of their newly acquired leadership skills within their existing qualifications, enhancing and broadening their educational pursuits.

Below you will find the names of the Level 1 and 2 qualifications available under the Esports Leadership Programme. Full specifications for both can be downloaded using the form at the foot of the page.

The great benefit of Esports Leadership is that you do not have to be doing an Esports BTEC to take any of our qualifications: they are stand alone and can offer a first step on a learner’s pathway into this increasingly popular subject area.

We want to recognise centres that join us in this first year by offering a package that acknowledges their commitment to supporting young people to realise their ambitious hopes in a subject they are incredibly passionate about.

See below for pricing details and complete the form at the foot of the page to provide this opportunity for the young people you work with.

Even more, the leadership skills they develop will help them establish and manage an esports community and will provide them with 8 UCAS points to support onward journeys into education, employment and beyond.
