Centre approval: the steps you may need to take for 2023/24 delivery image

Who is this for: all centres, with action required for some.

The centre approval process supports the centre manager so that they understand what is expected of them and their centre in delivering our qualifications.

Do I need to get my centre approved for 2023/24?

The short answer is yes, but your centre may have already been approved as part of your quality assurance review in 2022/23 as long as your centre:

  • had approved qualification centre status in for the 2022/23 academic year;

and

  • had a satisfactory outcome in their quality assurance review in 2022/23;

and

  • has the same centre manager in place as last year.

If your centre does not met these criteria, you centre needs to be approved for 2023/24. If so, or if you are unsure, please contact your named member of the QA team (in the article above) to organise approval. It will also be a great chance for you to get some support and guidance on your delivery and assessment for the upcoming year.

Note: Approved qualification centre status needs to be be obtained by centres within 8 weeks of their first course start date.
