Schools in West London are being offered a unique chance to access our STEM Leaders programme through funding provided by Microsoft via the ChangeX platform.

STEM Leaders is our new programme where learners develop leadership skills by completing a series of tasks and activities designed to boost their confidence through their interest in and passion for STEM subjects.

The programme is a perfect way to empower young people and provide them with the confidence and resilience needed to be the changemakers of the future. By developing skills such as teamwork, communication and problem solving, learners discover how to inspire their peers and influence others to the benefit of their communities and wider society.

To access the funding opportunity, schools based in West London regions with W1-W14 post codes need to complete a 30-day challenge via ChangeX to get their STEM Leadership programme up and running, then report back on their impact findings.

If you think STEM Leaders could encourage your learners to make a difference then you’ll need to act quickly – the funding provided by Microsoft is limited, so you’ll need to be among the first schools to complete the challenge.

There are two separate challenges for learners of different ages: –

To deliver Level 1 STEM Leaders to learners aged 11-13, click here.

To offer Level 2 STEM Leaders to learners aged 14-16, click here.

ChangeX is an online movement looking to empower communities by making proven innovations and grant funding accessible to everyone, everywhere.

So far, over 22,000 community projects have been activated and more than 1 million people impacted by those projects, allowing changemakers and funders to work together to tackle the most urgent social and environmental challenges.

You can find out more about ChangeX here: changex.org/gb/pages/about.

STEM Leaders encourages learners to inspire, lead and mentor their peers through the creation and delivery of STEM activities and events.
