Teacher Webinar – Introducing the Environment Leaders Programme

22/01/2025

Are you a teacher or educator passionate about inspiring the next generation of environmental leaders? Join us for an exclusive webinar to learn about the Environment Leaders Programme (ELP) and how you can integrate this impactful programme into your school or college’s timetable.

ELP provides young people with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to make a difference in their local communities and to tackle pressing environmental challenges. We want to show how you can bring this programme to life for your students and provide them with another qualification (and UCAS points!) before the end of the academic year.

What you’ll learn in this webinar:

  • An overview of the Environment Leaders Programme, including its key aims and outcomes.
  • How the eLearning resources allow for peer-to-peer learning (and minimum intervention from you!) and support the development of agency and autonomy in your students.
  • The resources available to help you successfully deliver the programme in your school or college (in addition to the eLearning modules).
  • Success stories and real-life examples of young leaders who have been inspired by the programme.
  • How the programme fosters essential leadership skills such as communication, problem-solving, and collaboration among young learners.

Who should attend:

  • Teachers and educators working with young people (secondary school, college, etc.)
  • Youth leaders and mentors passionate about sustainability and leadership development
  • Educators interested in environmental education and leadership skill development

Date: Wednesday, 22 January

Time: 16:15 – 17:15 (with extra time for questions)

Speakers:

  • Kat Holland-Heathers, Market Development Manager, Leadership Skills Foundation
  • Caroline Howkins, Education Programme Manager, WWF
  • Suzanne Welsh, UK Education Families Manager, the RSPB

In this session, you’ll gain a clear understanding of how the Environment Leaders Programme can become an inspiring and transformative part of your school or college’s offer, providing students with the skills they need to lead in their communities and beyond.

Spaces are limited, so don’t miss out on this opportunity to equip your students with the tools they need to be the leaders of tomorrow.

We look forward to sharing this exciting programme with you and helping you inspire the next generation of environmental change-makers.
